In order to safeguard the identity and information of a person, the Federal Government of Nigeria has now instituted an innovative way to ensure that the ID Holder provides their Digital Credentials for verification.
There are guidelines relating to their use, which are summarised below.
Please DO NOT allow anyone to take a screenshot of your MobileID. No matter the excuse.
Please DO NOT allow anyone to make a photocopy of your Digital NIN Slip. No matter the excuse.
The name presented in the Virtual NIN MUST match the Organization requesting it. There is no room for proxy or “on behalf of”. You must know who is verifying your Identity.
